No Fund Allocation to 7th Pay Commission – Central Government Employees Protest

Employees of the Income Tax Department, located in Nungambakkam, launched a protest yesterday condemning the fact that the Central Budget had not allocated sufficient funds to the 7th Pay Commission.

A meeting was held at the Income Tax office premises yesterday by the Central Government Employees Sammelan, during which the recently announced budget was analyzed and criticized. The protests were led by the Sammelan’s general secretary, Duraipandi. While addressing the gathering, he said, “The economic report submitted by the Government is not in favour of the masses. During the election campaigns, BJP promised to reduce inflation, bring back black money, and to eradicate unemployment.

Central government employees have announced that they are going to protest outside the Parliament on April 28 against the Government’s decision to not hike the income tax slab. There are plans to launch an indefinite strike in July.

Protests were held at the Income Tax office in Nungambakkam on behalf of the Central Government Employees Federation, against the Government’s decision to not hike the minimum tax levels this time. The protests were led by the federation’s general secretary, M. Duraipandian. Union leaders like J. Ramamurthy and S. Sundaramurthy presided over the protests.


Amendment of CCS Rules for Persons with Disabilities

The Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) has issued a fresh set of Instructions to all Ministries/Departments granting relaxation in the Central Civil Services (Leave) Rules, 1972 for Disabled employees. In an Office Memorandum dated February 25, 2015, the DoPT has reiterated that the disabled employees will be entitled to pay, promotion and other service benefits even if they cannot be taken back to the post they were holding or are adjusted or kept waiting until a suitable vacancy arises.

As per data collected till 31.12.2014, during the period 1.4.2012 to 31.12.2014, 19,676 backlog reserved vacancies of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes were filled up in Central Government Departments/attached and subordinate offices, Banks etc.

Onetime relaxation in the Recruitment Rule of Inspector, Senior Tax Assistant, Stenographer Grade-I (erstwhile Steno Grade –I & II) and Tax Assistant


Dear Comrades,

                       Leader of this Association G. Samdani Khan, Organizing Secretary has been to Delhi on 26.02.15 & 27.02.15. During his stay, he met Hon'ble Board Member (P&V) and taken up the issue of Onetime relaxation in the Recruitment Rule of Inspector, STA & TA on the line of this Association's suggestion made on it's letter dated 23.02.2015 and submitted  the same letter to the Member (P&V) (CLICK HERE TO SEE THE LETTER). Member (P&V) has informed that reports with reference to Board's letter dated 09.02.15 on the issue of "onetime relaxation in RRs of Inspector, STA, TA" are pending from many zones. On receipt of the reports from all zones, Board will take decision and her response on the above issue has been very positive.  We expect some early action.  Off course we have to follow it up.  

        I request all the zonal leaders and the central office bearers to take initiatives and pursue with the concerned zonal administrations, so that the report pertaining to one time relaxation in the RRs is sent to the Board immediately and a copy of the same report may also be sent to the All India Body (i.e.-email- pramanik.ashim4@ gmail.com) so that the matter can be taken up with the Board in a strong way on the basis of the vacancy figures of different zones.
